Mahagany Shaw

Founder

Mahagany Shaw began tattooing in March of 2017 and hasn’t looked back since. Going into her ninth year of tattooing she opened Pink Palace Tattoo January 2026 which has been a longtime dream of hers. She is heavily inspired by retro themes, specifically mid-century and all things adorable. With her flair for loud, vivid, in‑your‑face color and her clean, uncomplicated line work, her style lands squarely in the realm of bubblegum traditional. Mahagany is multi‑talented— she enjoys all forms of artwork and crafting including, painting, sewing, jewelry making, embroidery and toy making. Her go‑to mediums are acrylic and watercolor but she will try anything and likes to get creative with it.

Mahagany’s colorful work has taken the Cincinnati tattoo scene by storm, with her bold and bright, cute traditional style captivating fans on social media. She is a gifted tattoo artist, becoming known for her vibrant pieces on brown and black skin. She also likes traveling to different states to do guest spots and tattoo conventions to expand her knowledge about the craft. She has been lucky to work in Atlanta, Philly, Detroit, Chicago, Virginia, Tennessee, Cleveland and hopes to add a lot more to that list.
